Re: BC @ NU 10/9 -Cody Better Skate w His Head Up

Great gm, both goalies played very well. The speed & back checking was awesome both ends.

BC capitalizing on the PP for the goal.. think a little bit of luck involved as well.. NU missing a wide open net with 45 secs left. BC sealing it with the empty net goal. I actually think the Huskies played quite well without Alex Tuckerman & Justin Daniels (i expected a blowout after our Providence injuries last night).. then actually thought for a while there we had a chance to win it tonight.. alas not to be. Still think better club won tonight, but Huskies looked good.

Now if we can only fix our W/L record a bit.. Hang in there team.. oh, Matthews was fun again!
    GO NU HOCKEY
    Always bullish on the future.
We don't always win Hockey East or the Beanpot (#trilogy).. but when we do.. we are the Champions

FYP. I've been saying this for weeks now..

As for this game, I tried to listen to the 3rd on the radio but the crowd noise was so intense it was hard to follow. Gotta love Matthews when it gets rockin'.

That was a great hockey game. Zero to zero through 2 periods and exciting as heck. How ironic that Ferriero broke in alone on Muse near the end and even got a second chance off the rebound? Johnny stoned him. Muse was in playoff form tonight... fabulous game for him.

Must have been. The ambulance didn't show up.
He did dodge one bullet though, IIRC.

We were sitting behind and to Muse's left in the second period. He was incredibly focused and made one great save after another. Our defense hung him out to dry.

That was seriously one of the most entertaining regular season games I've ever attended. I love that kind of game -tense, hard hitting.

There is no question that after watching last nights game, CF would have been a help to BC now and more so each year. Very skilled. But for what he wants to accomplish, he is in the right spot. Ton of ice, on PP etc. Where BC's freshmen received "freshmen" ice last night.

He though is more ready today to step in and play than any freshmen BC has. He is far more advanced physically

Of course he made the right choice for himself. He would not have been a top 6 forward at BC this year and it appears he wants to get out of college and sign a pro deal asap. So you play at a school like NU where you can get a ton of ice time, and maximize your stock value as much as possible for Sharks.

Good business move, but it shows he's about himself and not his team.

Very fun game, just wish we pulled it out. I cannot believe we didn't bury at least one goal on all of our chances, sigh. oh well, promising game for the rest of the season, lets hope this acts as a spark to get these guys going.

College hockey is all about the team, you are correct. Not about the players. Kids need to do what is best for their future until they get there. After they are there, they need to act accordingly. No different than BC telling Billet in late August he was not part of their plans for this season and to wait 1 more year. This after he had regsitered and was ready to come. It is a business, sad but true.

Just like now VS is a changed person and the great BC, who "doesnt ever put up with that crap" welcomes him with open arms. Why? Because they are nervous about kids leaving next year and want to win. Will look the other way on a player who has many issues off ice so they can win.

                                It is what it is
