Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Here's what my score Really should be:
Fri. Brutlag--2 Sat. York--5
Total 7
But N00000--0
How about splitting the difference? I'll take 3 1/2.
Maybe. I'll have to confer with the scoring committee, and I'll get back to you.

Congratulations go out to myself and hawthr, who took advantage of the fact that Chase Polacek was eligible for this weekend and wisely used him against Bentley and also capitalized on Brutlag's goal that opened the scoring on Friday. Both of us came out with six points, enough to earn that crucial bonus point. After conferring with the scoring committee, we were willing to give vizoroo 3 points for the fact that she had her original picks spot-on (the second straight week that someone would've gotten the most possible points out of the RPI players), but was convinced off of her picks by the posters on this thread.
Let this be fair warning! Leniency of this sort will no longer be given once ECAC play starts in Week 5, and you are stuck with what your picks are at the drop of the puck on Friday night.
Congratulations also go out to Ralph, who holds onto his lead, but saw it shrink down to 2 points.

RPI plays host to a pair of teams visiting from Western New York this weekend.
RIT came back from their trip to Nebraska to play their "home opener" in the Blue Cross Arena in front of a sell-out crowd. The Tigers, coming off of their Frozen Four appearance, are still searching for their first win of the young season. Rensselaer will repay the visit next year with a trip to Ritter.
Niagara had to pare down their scholarships from 18 to 12 to join the AHA, but trounced over the Engineers last November at Dwyer Arena. The Purps are also looking for their first win of the season (although they might steal one against the Dutchmen on Friday night).
You may not choose the following players for this weekend of games:
Rensselaer:
F - Tyler Helfrich AND Chase Polacek
D - Nick Bailen
Houston Field House, Cheel Arena, Agganis Arena, Magness Arena, Ritter Arena, Messa Rink, Matthews Arena, Von Braun Center, Lynah Rink, Starr Rink, Appleton Arena, Dwyer Arena, Buffalo State Ice Arena, Kelley Rink (also Verizon Center (DC), HerbBrooksArena, Fenway Park (Frozen Fenway I), Times Union Center, DCU Center, Blue Cross Arena)
Friday:
RPI - CJ Lee
the other Tiggers - Andrew Favot
Saturday:
Tute - Mike Bergin
Igles - Marc Zanette
