Jacques was camped out on top of the crease when a centering pass emerged from a scrum in the corner. The HC defenseman was in better position, but not as fast. Pearl coming unglued before the final whistle was pretty pathetic, though. Other than putting together some decent teams from time to time, he's pretty much a disgrace to the league.
        Maybe we should wait just a bit before we annoint the western teams. Not to put too finer point on it, but Robert Morris has played 13 games, whiel UCONN has played 9. 2nd place Canisius has played 14 games. 9th place Bentley has played 9. AIC and UCONN, both viewed as preseason weakilings, both have multiple wins over western teams. It may well end up that the western teams are best come March, but its a bit early to argue that the balance of power lies anywhere. Maybe when teams get closer in terms of league play...

          Hard to go by points right now with the discrepancy in GP. Looking at the standings by winning percentage, the western pod teams hold first, second, third and fifth place ... only the Cross from the East is in the top five. The other two west pod teams and two from the east are at .500 The bottom three teams, all at .350 or under are from the East.

          Ya'll can draw your own conclusions.

              BTW, goalie Carsen Chubak is out for the season at NU with an ACL injury. However, NU has added Cody Campbell (originally signed with UNH) and will begin play in January.
