            This Saturday will be the game that determines their fate.

            Win and their in, lose and it's the 'MAACO Bowl in Las Vegas' for them.

            Last weeks game was a preview of things to come.

            I still don't see BC repeating this year. They will be up in the polls but won't win it all. Maine will be much tougher to beat and will probably win Hockey East this year. After that, it's a crap-shoot in the tourney's for all the teams.

                  Comparing the last five years of preseason and end-of-season rankings, the three most overhyped teams are Minnesota, Michigan, and Boston College. Each of them finished worse than their preseason ranking four out of five years. The most underhyped team is St. Cloud State, who outperformed their preseason rank four out of five years. I hope this year doesn't buck the trend!

                          I realize that, but this is based off the rankings. I admit that if they did a postseason poll it'd be more accurate. But by definition, rankings ARE hype. I understand that they don't mean crap when it comes tournament time. BC is the polar opposite of SCSU in the tournament... they're a fantastic playoff team.

                            '06-'07 - pre-season #2
                            '07-'08 - pre-season #2
                            '08-'09 - pre-season #1
                            '09-'10 - pre-season #12

                            Seems to me that '08-'09 was the only season BC was "overhyped."
                            Current NCAA D-I rinks I've been to:

                            AHA:
                            B1G: UMich, MSU, UMinn, Notre Dame, OSU, UWisc
                            CCHA: BSU, BG, FSU, LSSU, MSU, MTU, NMU
                            ECAC:
                            HEA: UMass
                            NCHC: Miami, UMD, UND, SCSU, WMU
                            Independant: ASU


                            Inactive: UAH, ASU, BSU, UMD, UND, NMU, Notre Dame

                              Not so fast, if those seeds held then maybe Michigan could beat BC in the 1/4 game, since all us tribe fans (Sioux/Redskins) seem to be jinxed against them.
