Fair enough. It probably is a relief to Cody Campbell to have some resolution to the uncertainty that was introduced when UNH got a commitment from Casey DeSmith. Campbell played his second game of the season last night, making 20 saves on 23 shot, as Cedar Rapids lost 3-2.

Both will compete for the starting job in 2012. UNH liked Desmith's progress now and he(Desmith) wanted to commit to UNH.

my guess is that he's on the 4th line or getting hammered on the PK unit. Resulting in the -7. You have to think that may the Correale kid could very easly slide in for next yrs roster if needed.

Jamie Hill ripped off 5 shots on goal last night without finding the back of the net.

yes- and in the 7-2 drubbing, he carried a +/- of 0. Obviuosly, my thoughts are pure speculation, but you have to think maybe he found himself on a different line? Nice to see the activity!

5 minutes into the 2nd Period of the Gold Medal game at the World Junior A Challenge and 2011 recruit Casey DeSmith has replaced the starting goalie for Team USA. Team Canada East jumped out to a 4-1 lead - enter DeSmith, for the first time in the tournament. Since then, Team USA has scored two goals to make it 4-3 after two periods.

Team USA comes back to win the Gold Medal by a score of 6-4. The boxscore will show that Casey DeSmith is the winning goalie.

Desmith has been considered for awhile (since Deerfield), they really went after him when they saw him play outstanding this fall ,hoping to see Campbell play vs Indiana. He committed right away as he wanted to come to UNH, being from Rochester.

Houston - UNH has itself a goalie!!!

This kid Correale is absolutely puring it on in the AJHL since his commitment as well - if he continues down this rd, how could anyone possibly see him staying in jr's another yr- unless he moves to the USHL or something.
                                I believe it's something like 13games: 10g-15a-25pts
& in case it's slipped past anyone. Dan has a 17yr old brother, Gus(I'm assuming) who has recently joined the team. 7games: 1g-7a-8pts
