Casey DeSmith helps the Indiana Ice get to overtime in do-or-die Game #3 making 39 saves in regulation:

But, Green Bay wins in overtime 2-1 - ending Casey DeSmith's USHL career.

Casey Thrush and the Muskegon Lumberjacks stay alive in their playoff series beating Cedar Rapids 5-1. Muskegon trails 2 games to 1.

When the day began, Casey Thrush was the only UNH recruit still playing hockey. Although Thrush scored a goal in tonight's game, the Muskegon Lumberjacks were eliminated from the playoffs by the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders - final score 7-3.

In his first season in the United States Hockey League, 18-year-old Casey Thrush scored 10 goals and 18 assists in 59 regular season games and 2 goals in 6 playoff games. This was also the first season for the Muskegon Lumberjacks, an expansion team.

Kyle Smith was drafted by the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the 15th Round - 152nd Pick overall, excluding "passes" (http://www.ushldraft.com/index.cfm). This further supports the possibility of Smith not coming to UNH in the fall of 2011 in favor of playing a year in the USHL.

A couple of days prior to the USHL Entry Draft, the "New Jersey Hockey Blog" indicated that Brett Pesce would play for the Jersey Hitmen of the Eastern Junior Hockey League next season (http://jcnjhb.blogspot.com/2011/05/2...s-94s-95s.html). Will be interesting to see if Pesce plays for the Omaha Lancers instead.

Hey guys, just writing to see how you guys think Borisenok will fare in his senior season. He's a local player from where I'm from hence my interest. I know UNH has a tradition of great senior seasons from their forwards, any chance that he will be that guy for you ?

Some interesting stuff on that website. Looks like it was pretty hastily thrown together, although I will give credit to whoever put it together, as it must have taken quite some time. No way UNH's incoming class is on the same level of Minnesota's, Denver's or Miami's.

Great Info! I also would like to know the ranking methodology. For What Its Worth, North Dakota recruits Grimaldi and Miller, both in top 10 of forward rankings also show up on Woodlief's NHL talent top ten.

UNH fans may find of interest that Woodlief also gives kudos to 2012 incoming Harvard recruit/Maine native Brian Hart - a UNH near miss.
