Yeah, it is in the EJHL, but still... 29-29-58 in 31 games is pretty serious offensive output. Can't wait to see this kid on the big sheet in the fall...

Edit: actually his #s are 22-34-56 in 31 games this year. Last yr he finished with 29-29-58 scoring line.

Is there reason to be worried about Downing here?

Interesting... certainly no corollary as to how a player did in the E vs how the will do in college. Still, that is a fairly impressive list of kids coming from that league in the last few years.

Definitely shows we are getting more and more kids from that league, though. Maybe a bit more of a reliable pipeline than I thought, too...

Honestly, I would not know. One can only speculate, but I don't think so. It very well could be that Umile wants to create competitiveness as the experience level will drop quite a bit next yr. & he seems to have enough forwards coming in - now 5?(Camper, Downing, Hill, Smith, Willows) vs. losing 3. Interesting pick up. I was sort of hoping they'd bring Dan Correale in next year, seeing how it doesn't appear that he is needs another year in the AJHL.
Willows does have pretty impressive numbers... but there have been several high scoring forwards from the Hitmen who haven't adjusted to D-1 too well.. so far at least.

Ansel Ivens Anderson had 55 pts or something.
Jon Swavley of Maine had 70 last year, and he has 1 pt in only 9 games this year.

Grayson Downing needs to show up this fall.

Jersey Hitman play a couple games at Monarchs in Hookset this Saturday and Sunday. The two teams have but 4 losses between them in 67 games. A good chance for a look-see at several 2011 or 2012 UNH recruits.

Willows is a great pick up for UNH, he's been a top scorer at every level and I'm sure that will continue next season.
