He committed to RPI in 2009, was offered and accepted a tender to Dubuque of the USHL in Spring 2010 (with Monty); was cut as an extra foreign player because the rule was for 2 but thru misunderstanding DBQ ended up with 3; was picked up by DesMoines for 2010-11, then decided to go to Oshawa...

Very nice. Living in Boston I should have remembered as much. Couldn't touch Espo on those rebounds they say.

Do we think his hiatus at the end of last season has anything to do with him not coming?

It did to the extent that it was probably part of the reason that his arrival in Troy was delayed a year. That gave other things the chance to happen.

Thanks! I was particularly curious about what happened with de-committing from RPI. Any idea about that?

It could be as simple as Sudbury doing what a whole slew of OHL teams have been doing - trying their best to poach NCAA recruits.

With Jake Laliberte and Kevin Cole working through some knee problems (just bruising says MacInnis, no big worries), the Colts decided to hold back on the roster trim.

RB -- IIRC, Quinn went from Aurora to Orangeville. He had pneumonia, which is why he missed the latter part of the season.

My own personal opinion is that the DBQ fiasco left RPI painted with the same bitterness they had toward Monty for kicking him to the curb. Once that happened, all bets were off, IMO.

As much I wish he was heading to Troy, I'm glad he won't be showing up wearing an opponents jersey. Best of luck to Nick, and if you're listening, we still want you here !!!!!

That was one report. I apologize if I got the order of the teams wrong.
