So how do you get invited other than being a draft pick?
Basically it gets you on the radar with the testing and networking, etc.
The camp is for rookies. I think it is an opportunity for free agents/non drafted players...............

It is fun etc but does not do that at all
            Literal fillers
Look at last years rosters and you will see it does zero
            That is reality
            If not, show an example
This is not rookie or training camp

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Former Tech recruit, Jake Hauswirth was a non-roster invitee to the Capitals rookie camp a couple years ago when he was playing in the USHL, then he ended up signing with the Caps and is in their system now, instead of going to Tech to play.

That there would be your example.

He's playing in the ECHL. He didn't see any time at the AHL level. Not exactly an impact signing. Kinda like...filler...

He is confusing a rookie camp with a de velopment camp
                    100 pct different
This is a camp for draft picks, ahl players and nhl guys who have played less than a few years
Buffalo for example has Myers, the rookie of the year and leading d scorer as well as Chris Butler, their 2nd d scorer who has played over 100 games
It has nothing to do with tryouts or rookie camp
Only to fill teams and many are favors to scouts and friends

But he did sign after being a non-roster invitee.

Not from a development camp he didnt. You are wrong. He did so at a rookie camp. Apples to Oranges and simply shows how little you know.
