I suspect that Montgomery has his two import spots filled already, and if JL was one, we would know. Quinn is one of the two. The Cornell recruit from Sweden apparently doesn't count since he is a dual citizen.

Nice recap of Dubuque's draftees..a very intriguing list of talented youngsters as well as some veterans...Including: Vinny Saponari (forward, recently booted from BU), Kyle Murphy (F) who left ND after his sophomore year (no points in 17 games), Cornell commit Steve Miller (F - Jr. Bruins), as well as Jeff Taylor (F- Syracuse Stars) from Clifton Park.

Should be a very fun camp and it'll be interesting to see who makes Monty's first roster.

Humorous mention of a possible role for the B.R.O. in Vancouver....

"...When the Vancouver Canucks draft defenseman Luke Curadi (6’5, 250lbs), will they use him to keep Shane O’Brien out of the club or to keep Kyle Wellwood away from the buffet?

Lincoln Stars blogger seems a bit PO'd that Curadi didn't show up there last year but received a Dubuque predraft tender this season http://www.lincolnstarsblog.com/2010...ft-review.html.
Curadi did not show up to the Stars tryout camp last Spring, deciding instead that he would play for the Penticton Vees of the BCHL. Curadi played 58 games for the Vees last season, accumulating 17 points (7g, 10a) and 98 PIM. Curadi recently signed a tender with the USHL expansion Dubuque Fighting Saints, so he will be playing for the Saints next season. Curadi is a giant at 6'5", 255 pounds. Curadi will attend RPI University in the Fall of 2011.

The Stars were something like 16-36 last season, I'd say the B.R.O made the right decision.

He probably did make the correct decision, but I think that the Stars' record is probably only a small factor in making it that way.

Took a quick look inside HFH this afternoon, things seem to be moving along now. The risers that used to be section 1 are gone along with the championship banners, small scoreboard, the large school shield and from what I could see the old Engineers in the NHL display has been removed as well. When I stopped in the workers were removing some piping from that west end wall. I cant wait to see the finished product.

This guy http://ohlprospects.blogspot.com/201...-ohl-part.html remembers our comments last year about Pirri and D'Amigo (http://ohlprospects.blogspot.com/200...ip-to-ohl.html) but doesn't mention that we were right when we said that they wouldn't go to the OHL.

Edit: There also was a later post about Higgs and Quinn http://ohlprospects.blogspot.com/200...okies-who.html.
