  • Yale and Holy Cross Sweaters for sale?

Sometimes it is nice to see an upset happen.
Slap Shot - 444 might want to consider a restraining order.
dggoddard - Minnesota is THE ELITE Program in all of college hockey.
wasmania - you have to be the very best to get ice time with the great gophers!

With all due respect to the Crusaders, North Dakota losing to Yale is not even a little bit close to being on the same level as Holy Cross. Yale is a much higher quality program.

If you want to compare one of this weekend's upsets to Holy Cross (you know... to ease the pain that four years hasn't erased), I'd suggest you start ragging on Denver fans instead.

At his graduation ceremony from the U of Minnesota, my cousin got a keychain. When asked what UW gave her for graduation, my sister said, "A degree from a University that matters."

Canned music is a pathetic waste of your time.

Is it a choke to lose to a much lower ranked eastern team?

The reason for the talent in the west? Because MN didn't rely on Canada.

As a Gopher fan, I discredit this thread. Don't stoop to UND's level.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Oh, come on, no gopher fan would ever buy a Yale sweater anyway.

The RIT upset of Denver is the exact same seeding-wise (#15 knocking out the #2).

Either way, I'd rather have my own team win than waste a lot of energy and time rooting for other teams to lose. Doing the latter is a little too much like betting massive parlays... if such a thing was legal, of course.

And * yale - that elitist Ivy doesn't need (or want) my support.

                  UMN/HC was #2/#15
                  UND/Yale was #5/#9

                  Not even close, sorry.

at least one of those teams hasn't choked 10 straight years in the ncaa.

One of those teams can't even make the NCAA's anymore.

Has UND had a #2 overall seed since the tournament went to 16 teams? They might have been in '04 - I can't remember.

And if a team isn't going to bother showing up for the bulk of their first round game, they may as well miss the tourney entirely.

No....but all the UND smack talk since Monday would make one think it is about the same. Somebody w/ more energy than me should go grab every little sue fan quote that said Yale had NO chance.
