I have a question for you guys. If Minnesota State, North Dakota, and Duluth win tonight, who would play Minnesota State in the play-in, Duluth or NoDak?

Duluth (or CC, if they win and UND wins.) The teams that make the Final 5 will be reseeded. Denver is 1, Wisco is 2, UND is 3rd highest left, so they're three. Duluth 4th and Mankato 5th.

It would be Duluth (or CC) vs Mankato on Thursday. UND vs Wisco Friday afternoon. Denver vs winner of Duluth (or CC) or Mankato on Friday night.

If St. Cloud wins, then the play in game will be the winner of the MN/UND series and the winner of the Duluth/CC series.

If Minnesota wins and Mankato wins, it will be MN vs Mankato, regardless of who wins the CC/Duluth series.

If Mankato wins and UND wins, then they would play Duluth/CC winner.

The WCHA is crossing their fingers that it's SCSU, Duluth and Minnesota that win today. That way the home team and two other in-state teams make the Final Five.

If it goes the other way, Mankato will be the only in-state team in the Final Five.

So... today could be a total dud, or one for the ages. Just depends what team shows up for the Gophers I guess.

I would argue that it depends on what Sioux team shows up. If we play our game, we'll win. If not, then it depends on how well the Gophers play.
