  • 2010 All-Americans Watch

Usually I start this much earlier in the season...Early Feb or Mid February. But, I haven't gotten around to it until now. There is only a week left until the All-Americans are announced, the night before the banquet at the Fina Four but here are my predictions for the East.

I'll leave the West to someone else who has seen some of the teams play. I've only seen Adrian play out of the western teams this year. But i bet Mike Dahlinger and David Martinson find their name on the AA list!

    1st Team:

    F.Eric Selleck, Oswego
    F.Kyle Thomas, Norwich
    F.Mickey Lang, Manhattanville
    D.Kyle Shearer-Hardy, Bowdoin
    D.Steve Rizer, Fredonia
    G.Ryan Klingensmith, Norwich

    2nd Team:

    F.Chris Laganiere, Oswego
    F.Darcy Vaillancourt, Elmira
    F.Martin Drolet, Middlebury
    D.Paul Conter, Southern Maine
    D.AJ Mikkelsen, Manhattanville
    G.Scott Barchard, Tufts

It's a shame Kyle Gunn-Taylor is in-eligble for AA because he would have a real shot at nabbing the 2nd team goaltender selection.

No way Vallincourt has AA season, unless he has an AA center.
Masters is an All American center.

Kyle Thomas not only has great stats, 23G, 8A, for 36 points, but plays a very physical power forward type of game that and is very dominating on the ice. I am very glad others have noticed.

Eric Tallent is an excellent all around defensemen for Norwich with 7G, 13A, for 20 points. Most fans consider him of the best in the east.

Injuries caused a number of Norwich forwards to miss a few games which didn't allow them to build up big stats, however, in the playoffs a number of other Norwich forwards have been very productive.

Eric Satim and Dylan Clarke of Plattsburgh are also prime time players that should receive some consideration. They both have good stats against tough competition.

Connor Treacy from Potsdam deserves serious 1st team recognition. He leads all SUNYAC seniors for points by 40.
Regardless of their record, this kid should be recognized.
