Re: Your team's best/worst box score

Most demoralizing (does it really need to be posted)

    http://www.uscho.com/box/?date=20090...me=bu&gender=m

More uplifting - Miami registers 11 goals to Canisius' 10 shots

This is the game my cousin and I started renaming Michigan goalies (since Turco) "Billy". All future Michigan goalies are now "Billy" as well. Billy Blackburn, Billy Montoya, Billy Hogan, Billy Hunwick, etc. Feel free to yell "Billy" at your team's next game against Michigan.

I am in A Shot and a Goal's camp re: boxscores

that being said, here are some of the most lopsided maine wins

        Maine 16 - Umass Lowell 0
        March 3, 1990
That game was on the heels of a 7-3 win for Maine the night before...

Miami had a rough go of it, losing 11-4 and 10-1 on back to back nights at the Alfond in January 1991.

        Maine 15 - Army 5 in January, 1992.

Maine 19 - Mt. Allison 5 (ex) in October, 1988

It's amazing that the best and worst in the current era are back to back nights. I do think most teams would be happy with a split weekend of those teams.

As a Gopher fan, the worst box score is too obvious and too easy to answer. However, here it is:

              http://www.uscho.com/box/?date=20060...e=umn&gender=m

Not the best ever, but an ending to one of the best first round WCHA playoff series in league history is here.

Wow, 66 saves all in regulation, impressive even if the shot counter was trigger happy for one team.

How's this for a brutal box score.. in 1988 when Canada hosted the Winter Olympics, they did not earn a single Gold Medal.. pretty unbelievable!

                        I don't see a repeat in Vancouver..

This is still an NCAA record for scoring margin in a title game - a record that has stood for early 50 years. DU played four total playoff games that year and outscored its opponents 35-6. This was the most dominant playoff performance ever.
