  • Any changes to ECAC-East and NE playoffs?

Have there been changes to the ECAC-East and ECAC-Northeast playoff formats and schedules due to the change in # of teams in each conference?

The East only lost Salem State, and they replaced the Vikings with the Nor'Easters of UNE. No change in number there!

The Northeast, on the other hand, got gutted... and so I'm curious about this as well. The ECAC-NE website still posts the September 2007 revision on the league rules, so I would have to assume there have been no changes. (Of course, we all know what happens when you assume...) Under the old format of 8 teams, all 8 would get in. But that's what the NCHA does, too. So that's not really unreasonable, especially given the expulsion of the D-II teams from the league. It will be interesting to see if they changed anything.
