  • Cornell @ SLU 1/16

Just got back from skiing, now time to listen to what should be a dandy.

SLU with a handful of chances early.

SLU hits the crossbar on what sounded like a 2-1.

    about 8:00 left in the 1st, 0-0

Reading the WDT blog of the game:

Cornell has ~12 players sick with colds/flu... could be a factor.

Flanagan has(had?) gone to the locker room after banging knees with another player.

Drewiske with a great chance but it stays out somehow. Then SLU has a goal waved off for going in off a hand or something, couldn't tell from the announcers.

Cornell gets a goal towards the end of the 1st after Dell fails to call a penalty on Cornell for hauling Keller down.

1-0 CU, just about a minute left.

              End 1:

              Cornell 1
              SLU 0

Schaefer being his usual self, and the refs are listening to him too. Could be a long night.

Word is Flanagan is done for the game, at least, with a knee injury. That adds him to J Keller and Bogosian on the injured list, along with Armstrong from last night.

I think you might want to at least ad the bit about Schaefer complains about the most obvious offsides the ref's missed and they ended up with a late whistle to cover it up.. dont be a homer and just say he was complaining about nothing..

otherwise you sound like the SLU announcers..

                        Underway in the 2nd.

Cornell will get a penalty on a "cheap shot" to Curran.

                        B. Nash for interference. Curran got cut on the play and headed to the dressing room.

Where did I say he was complaining about nothing? You need to learn how to read apparently.

Hey, atleast they got the call right, but when it takes them a good 3-5 seconds to get an offsides call made, they shouldn't be in the ECAC, period.

Hey now, those are the finest announcers in the ECAC. They are completely impartial and do not favor SLU in the slightest!

Carden gets tackled, Dell raises his arm then waves it off?

Hey, I won't deny that the SLU announcers are biased, but how many announcers aren't?
