It is WCHA play the rest of the way for the Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks. It starts with the #5 ranked University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux in Grand Forks, ND.
The puck drops at 7:30 PM CST. FSSN is carrying the game on television; also, available on Fox College Sports Central for those having that in their cable or satellite package (channel 263 on Comcast in St. Paul, MN).
The Sioux look to start 2010 conference play off strong with 4 points versus the Mavericks to establish themselves as home ice contenders, and conceivably stay in the race for the regular season title. Mankato needs to fight for whatever points they can get; two losses and they go 5-10-1 in conference play and are back to .500 overall. Currently in the WCHA, the Sioux sit in 6th with 14 points and the Mavericks are in 8th with 11.
Much on the line tonight; I, for one, am looking forward to a couple of great games on the weekend.
Go Mavs!
