  • RPI at BU (Dec 11)

Not even the Red Cloud magic was enough to keep RPI from embarassing themselves on Wednesday. Maybe it'll be enough tonight.
Keep an open mind. Just don't be so open-minded that your brain falls out.

And then there were two... the newbie NYHockeyguy, and me.

Best of luck to our boys tonight. Let's have ourselves a classic as usual.

Maybe it will! Good to see/meet some posters at Wednesday's game. I'll be listening on werpi, and I hear that some are going to B'town tonight. Enjoy a win and a safe trip home.

I will be here tonight, but I have no idea what to expect from this team.
They have the talent to win every game they play. They don't seem to have the confidence nor the ability to close out a victory.
This has got to be a coaching problem, and I am sure that it has been mentioned.
When this year started, they played 60 minutes every game and their record showed it.
The last two weeks, they have taken off up to a period a game.
Wednesday, they tried to go into a shell, and found out that they do not know how to play that game.
If they play their game for 60 minutes, they win.
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Similar thoughts here-If you are going to go into a defensive shell-you have to be well coached to do it. SA is more of an offensive minded coach and I do not think this team is prepared to play the last 20 minutes in a prevent defense. You are right though-this team is capable of winning any game they play. (But it seems they are also capable of giving any one away )

I would say they probably win if they play their game. BU is not as bad as some people seem to think.

I anticipate a close one tonight but am leery of playing without D'Amigo and Kerins. Also wonder who is in net. If I were the coach I would start Merriam and let York rest that groin is he is anything less than 100% healthy. We need good games from AAG and Cullen if we are going to win.

If we lose tonight, you're the jinx, and you have to start the next one.

Changing it up tonight, also because I'm bored, lines are:

                        Cullen-Polacek-Heflrich
                        AAG-Pirri-OGrady
                        Rabbani-Malchuk-Halpern
                        Vassel-Beauregard-Smith

                        Kennedy-Merth
                        Brutlag-Burgdoerfer
                        Jensen-Foss

                        Merriam-York

Scratches are Bergin, D'Amigo, Kerins (DQ), Lee, Zarbo, Watts, Harkenrider

Morrissette is NOT listed as a scratch on the sheet.

Beauregard must have been busting his balls in practice, and gets to show what he can do tonight. I know he will make the most of his chance; he certainly played hard in Niagara.

Plenty of offense with the first three lines.
                          Defense is well represented also.
We have everything we need to win. Now lets go out there and do it.
