Took a big step in play since last weekend

Yeah, it doesn't take much to improve on 14 goals against

Nielsen struggled last night but responded tonight, got in on the play, outstanding

Nielsen gave up the most glaringly crappy turnover that led to a crappy goal Friday. Last night, he was playing more offense and leading more rushes than half our forwards. He's definitely going to be a good hockey player

Showed character in the 3rd period, kept batteling til the end

I must have been watching the wrong game. Looked to me like we just gave up after the 2nd goal

when we get healthy we'll be a tough team in the 2nd half

Pete Hainen was on for the 2nd goal, prob. nervous

Nervous? He looked like he was going to **** his pants. He was also out during the 6-on-5 at the end. Hopefully the fact that a walk on is playing (even if its because of injuries) sinks in to some of these guys heads

I had to miss some of Saturday's game but it seems we have the same old problems. I like that the freshmen are getting lots of time, and maybe because of that we will be better in the second half. We have to take advantage of our chances though. I mean a three on one and we don't score? come on. Plus the same old arrogance from the goofs. I hate that. We needed those points just as much as they did.

Hockey may be one of the stupidest things that ever existed. I don't understand why I keep going back for more. This is like being in a shîtty relationship in which you break up weekly, but keep going back to them because you assume things will get better. I realize we suck, but the team still isn't playing up to their shìtty potential. They looked tired as hell last night, and they just aren't connecting on ANYTHING. Fùck hockey. Royally. In the ãss. Is it anyone's fault in particular? No, probably not. We can all think of plenty of people to blame for our suckage. We could blame it on Jamie. We could blame it on Kyle. Hell, we could blame it on Ian. Or wait, maybe we could blame it on the fans who cross their arms even when we're winning (yes, PB, I'm looking RIGHT at you). But maybe we should just stop blaming and accept it. We suck. We're going to suck until everyone learns about a little thing called faith (combined with maybe a bit of luck and a lack of injuries). Tech has shown a few promising moments, I will definitely give them that. However, it cuts me deeply inside when they fail to play defense (or offense, for that matter), fail to get someone in front of the net, let in soft as hell goals, and only put up 20some shots a night. Am I going to cease being a Tech fan? Hell no. But will I ever have success as a fan? That's completely up to the Huskies. /rant.
