I never said he's going to be our next superstar.
I'm just saying he was good.
Ah, and he most recently played for the PL Pioneers.
Played in the All-Star game for the GLHL this year.
Not to mention, he's a defenseman that put up big numbers.

If he did it in Minnesota, playing Edina, Jefferson, HM, BSM, Duluth East, Eden Prairie, Blaine, Tonka...etc. then yeah, he could probably play in the WCHA. But only the very best of the best in MN can make the jump to the WCHA, and most take a couple years to get up to speed.
Well, he put up big numbers against the '08 MI State Champions?
      Does that count for something?

It means Finlandia could have used him.

Eh, at least he should be able to skate, unlike other former defensemen that are now playing in the NHL.

And if there is one thing Tech is known for it's their superstars.

No, it actually doesn't, any of the teams I mentioned would put up 10 on the copper kings.

Tech fans don't you just hate it when an arrogant Gopher fan like bigblue_dl comes into your thread talking about how much better the hockey is in Minnesota?

I've learned to roll my eyes and ignore it.

I will give MN credit though - no one cares about or is more passionate about HS hockey than you guys.

Which is the exact reason my location is stated as hockey heaven (aka the Twin Cities). If you like hockey there is no better place to live in the United States then the Twin Cities. That might sound arrogant to some but it's truth. There is no other place in the country that has as much hockey at every level or is as passionate about it.

I'm beginning to think that Jamie needs to do what mancici did in the 93-94 season.

Some time after the first of the year (getting old don't remember all the facts jus t the important ones) after a practice or a game he told the team to turn in all of their equipment.

The next day they reissued. He started the practice by interducing himself like it was the first of the year.

Beat #1 CC in the playoff and a trip to the FF.

Don't know when the timing would be right after this series, if it goes bad or after the NMU game.

Definitely after this series - it's a good time for a reset anyway, after such a long streak of WCHA opponents, after adding a new teammate, and with a rivalry game approaching. Jamie needs to get control of his team and their conditioning again, so they can tear eNeMa U two new ones and storm through the GLI.

Coaches sometimes have to find "interesting" ways to motivate their team. Just this past week a certain coach was so fed up with the way his team was playing that he supposedly told the team that if you want to play like girls you're going to practice at the girl's rink. The team played their best game of the season on Saturday. After the game the coach said the team's pride was on the long and they responded. Will it continue? That's anybodies guess. Although, I'll be in Houghton this weekend to see first hand.

I completely agree with bb_dl here...MN HS hockey is far superior to MI HS hockey, hands down
