  • Yale vs RPI 11/6/09

I will be at the game tonight section 9 seat 23. Anyone in the area should come by and say hello.
I look forward to an uptempo game with the crowd adding a lot of energy to the building.
With Helfrich out, we will have to be very aware of our defensive system.
Still plenty of offense to create chances, but we will have to be better at converting them.
And of course, stay out of the penalty box.

    LETS GO RED!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully we atch up well with Yale-they are not a big team but they are a very fast team. This should be the type of game SA likes to play. We are a bit banged up but our freshmen aresupposedly healthy and we will see how ready they are to lead. Go Red!

I think that you have correctly assessed the two teams. This will be an interesting game. A big question is if we can start firing on all cylinders. We have been doing fairly well with some of our better players not clicking.

Last year, Yale lit us up for 11 goals in two games. We are a better team, but we need to keep them down to 3 goals or less if we are to have any chance of winning tonight.

Exactly-our best chance is a low scoring game. Our defense will have to paly their best game-Yale has a lot of weapns and has been picked by most to win the ECAC.

I will be there this weekend. Section 44 for tonight, with the band on Saturday.

EHF, what row? Or come and find me; I'm the dude with the long hair.

How long? Back in my Hippie days of the early 70's I had mine to my waist. Now much older-I wish I could grow it like that again

Row N. It would be great to meet some more of the people on this board.

I will not be able to attend the game . But, quick update on the refs, for those that are curious. From the game notes: Jay Durfee and Nick Litterio are the refs and the linesmen are Richard Patry and Andy Mann.

I am not aware of any history with either of the refs.

I hear that they went to the Gilles Threadgold Referee School. (Only older posters will get the reference.)

The women are leading 2-0 over Colgate after period. The goals were at 1:04 and 1:11 of the first period by Vadner (Castignetti, Dunlop) and Horton (unass.).
