Good rookie numbers. Better in fact than Dean in his first season at Cedar Rapids. If he more than doubles his points like Dean did in his 2nd season expect good things.

2011 is suddenly starting to look pretty good.

I'd be pretty shocked if we had a scholarship to offer him. On the other hand ... he is a Chelios

This year is starting to not look so bad... Who thinks the two Chelios' will be on the same line?

1992-born Matt Berry, a 5'9 160 lb. forward from Canton, has decided to join the Spartans possibly as early as 2011. He led all Tier 1 Midget Majors in scoring with 77 points in 42 games.

Not sure if you guys track "rumored" recruits or not, but Calumet's Ben Johnson is purportedly waiting to hear whether or not MSU will offer. Tech and NMU already have.

Thanks! We likes him. Appears to have had a breakout year as soph. high school player.

Answer is yes - sort of. Talked about Dillon Simpson a bit - until he fell to someone else, but I guess he is, well, exceptional.

G Jared Rutledge would be a nice pickup in a couple years, likes our program, but hasn't as yet chosen a suitor.

There are others for whom Michigan State is a secondary (or 3rd?) option.

On another tack - it appears Reid Boucher led U17 in goals, and was second only to Rocco Grimaldi in points per game and game-winners. In about 7 weeks We'll find out whether he plays another year for NTDP.
