Now, I am not saying UMD deserved to win this game, or that CC didn't deserve win...or even that UMD got all of the bad calls, because there were bad calls for both teams, but ***?!? How far do you need to shove your heads up your own butt, before you realize that you are completely incompetent. Because of your utter inability to control the game, players lost their cool, and the well being of all the players that were on the ice, on the bench, and in the showers prematurely, were put in jeopardy. So congrats to you, Orange zebras on a hard fought decisive game! Congratulations!!
You're worthless, even more, you make no sense.

Ref's lost this series Friday night when they gave UMD the win.

That was an absolutely epic meltdown by Huttel. Puts LeGarrette Blount's meltdown to shame. Blaming the refs for that is a joke. Akins threw 2 little tantrums too, but I'm sure it was all the refs.

Along with Huttle and Akins you can throw #4 Dylan Olsen into that same class of thugs. I use to like UMD, but not after tonight. I talked with three UMD players after the game and they did not seen too pleased with how Huttle acted.

It is being reported that Colorado Springs police officers drew their stun guns in an effort to control Huttle after he had left the ice while in the tunnel. For some reason Huttle tried to return to the ice at which time officers drew their stun guns while escorting Huttle a second time to the locker room.

This is the first time in decades that I was dissapointed in the Bulldog's behavior. This is really NOT a "team of thugs". UMD has a long reputation of having a classy team. However, I agree that their behavior last night was unacceptable!!

I heard that when Huttle was leaving the ice that a C.C. fan threw something at him, and this may be why he tried to re enter the arena.

Can someone confirm this?? Can someone confirm the "tasser" allegation?

How can you fricken say that the refs GAVE friday's game to UMD?!? The only two penalties called the ENTIRE 3rd period were against UMD in the final 2:30 of the game! You guys were GIVEN a 5x3 for 1 minute in the last 1:30 of the game! If anything, the refs tried their best to give you guys that game! YOU HAD A 6x3 IN THE FINAL MINUTE OF THE GAME but your boys hit the post like 3 times and couldn't finish! You say the refs gave us that game? Do you even know hockey!??! I will agree that the refs lost control of the players starting friday, but they in no way gave the bulldogs the game!

Our seats are at the visitor team tunnel and once Huttel left the ice he DID try and come back and re-enter the rink, he had no less than 4 security guards and EMT's trying to hold him back, it was at this point that a C.S.P.D. officer came down the steps and had his taser gun out, but I can't confirm if he actually pointed it at Huttel. On a side note, I never saw anything being thrown at him as he was exiting, although in the madness of everything I might have missed something being thrown.

Thanks Missekay for the observations. Appreciate it!

Huttle has a really short fuse, but something must have really set him off to have all those cops and EMT's controlling him.

I'll ask around this week here in Duluth.

Yeah, Huttle was not overly strong last year, and when he wanted to be an "enforcer" he couldn't handle the size of the other players. So, I think Sandelin told him to bulk up over the off season, and now he is, from what I have heard, the strongest player we have. So he is out there to throw himself around, and both he and Olsen want take crap from anyone, which is different to how we use to play when we didn't have that person to go knock some heads.

I think teams got use to the old push 'em around UMD teams, but now that Huttle is stronger, and has an extremely short fuse, as well as the addition of Dylan Olsen, look for more fights to break out with UMD involved!

You really need to simmer down a bit. I'm pretty sure CCtig was simply responding to your moronic post, rather than actually being serious.

So what started this whole mess? I have yet to read how the game went from normal play to Huttle getting escorted into the locker room.
How do they expect us to throw hotdogs at the gophers with that [Expletive deleted] net in front of us?

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette "...Chad Huttel’s attack on Schultz might be traced back to that power play goal. Schultz passed the puck between Huttel’s legs to Rylan Schwartz for the easy tap-in with 15:18 left in the game. Huttel played angry for the rest of his time on the ice."

We were at the game and it was just crazy. It was one of those TV timeouts and Schultz was just at center ice, we think he was just talking to the ref and Huttel comes out of nowhere and just attacks him. Rips off Schultz's helmet, screaming and yelling, the refs come in trying to break it up but Huttel was hitting the refs just trying to get to Schultz. At that time, Schultz had thrown his arms up in the air, and never really threw a punch, he just wanted to get away. No one else on the ice was involved, and there are rumors that Huttel came off the bench to get Schultz. The refs has a really hard time getting him off the ice, causing the incident in the tunnel.

As far as Schultz goes, earlier in the game he was called for roughing and who knows if he said anything, but right before Huttel went crazy, I didn't see Schultz do anything.

I'm sure Stephen Schultz did say something at some point of the game, as he should. Stephen is one of my favorite CC players and he is well known by insiders for cherping on the ice as much or more than any other CC player. Just one of many reasons why I like him! Keep it up Stephen, thank you for standing up for your team!

I was at both games and I'm sure it all started back in Friday's game at some point. Just one of those things where in the "heat of battle" some things are done or said on the ice that another team dislikes, and it grows from there. You know how that goes. As mentioned, Stephen Schultz does alot of cherping while on the ice and may have said something in defense of his team.
