Niagara should feel lucky to have come within 1 goal because it could have been a much bigger margin.
Agreed. BSU could have had about 4 or 5 goals in the first period alone on Saturday had the bounces gone their way. They obviously didn't play with much intensity, but the Beavs still outplayed the purple eagles.

Before you ask, yes. I suck. Blame my education or parentage, whichever seems more appropriate.

But I did go back and get everyone's picks in.

I'd buy that right about now, if today were selection Sunday, they'd have to be in. My only question would be what happens if/when Niagara/RMU/UAH waters down the computer rankings when there's nothing left but conference play.

If BSU should tumble somehow in the Tournament (unlikely as it is right now anyway), it would be great to see two CHA entries in the NCAA's.

That's where you get the beauty (controversy) of the asterix on the RPI.* Had this rule been in place back in 2000 for Niagara, who know's how hight they might have deserved (not how high they might have been placed)...

Point being - If BSU keeps winning (even if it's against CHA teams with poor winning percentages), their RPI, and therefore PWR, should keep them at least near the top...

*Team's RPI has been adjusted to remove negative effect from defeating weak opponent.

Ah, makes sense now. You can tell some of us have never really had to pay much attention to RPI/KRACH/PWR before.

Two things help the Beavs here:

                    1. The CHA's non-insular schedule. Not only do we play more OOC games [which generally helps RPI], but we have seen CHA teams playing major opponents [which helps RPI].

                    2. If BSU was going to see this, we'd already see it with 4 GP against UAH, who were good in October and ... not so much in November. But we're not.

Oh, and Mike ... I take RMU, RIT, and the Beavs for the sweeparooni.
