I just read the article on Matthews Arena. Curious why the name change in 1982 from Boston Arena to Matthews. Anyone know? Also, I can't wait to see it. If you go to the opening, let us know how it is.

I think that it reflected the fact that by then only NU used it, and he paid for a previous renovation after BU left when the WBA was built.

I love to see them renovate these older buildings. They just have so much more character than the new ones. Appleton at SLU is another one that is drenched in history.
