Agreed - that shows the true a truer quality of a hockey program. It's less impressive to me to just have an NHL factory.

Interesting how the numbers add up for the usual suspects:

So far we have:

Minnesota 90
Wisconsin 56
BU 55
BC 54
Michigan 54
DU 47
Mich. St. 26
Cornell 13
RPI 13

No one added up North Dakota's 15 yet.
Or the others 6 or 3 etc.

But we see a pattern of the usual NC contenders in this list. So it does have some merit.

Is this where I'm supposed to break out the joke about the "student" in "student athlete" ??

No, he made the classic UND 7 argument and I called him on it. Reminds me of that kid beersong and I ran into on the way into the Xcel for a Final Five game years ago. The one that thought tUMD had one an NCAA title.

The Gophers gained 22 points from the freshmen coming in, and 7 from Schroeder being drafted.

They lost 4 points from RJ Anderson graduating, and 6 points from Ryan Stoa signing.

So, they had 71 points last year.

you can keep your halo.... there is no comparing the goofs to the Sioux... anyone who can count to 7 will tell you that. My point was it would be interesting to see the amount of points the goofers had last year, considering they did a hell of a job of flushing their season down the toilet...but you know how they have that way of wasting tremendous amounts of talent.

How come UND is stuck on 7? I have noticed UND no longer has what it takes to make a change to the number 7. MN, and a lot of other schools have been adding championships, but all UND has is 7? What happened, ran out of 25 year old Canadians? Too many players arrested? Lawnmower tossing fatigue??
Since it is well known that hakstool will never win the big one, you guys will be able to brag about 7 for the rest of your life. Enjoy it, that way you will never have to learn to count to 8.

Dartmouth: 4 drafted players (Troy Mattilla - 7th, Joe Stejskal - 5th, Dustin Walsh - 6th, Mark Goggin - 7th) for 7 points.

Massachusetts: 3 drafted players (Justin Braun - 7th, Martin Nolet - 5th, Danny Hobbs - 7th) for 5 points.
