Ummmm...how is that NOT a penalty shot???? Asking for a friend.
Two factors the striped one looks at:
Did NH clearly have a lead on the defender?
When the defender catches up, did he play the puck with his stick or use his body on the NH player? Any use of hands or stick on the player and the call would go our way.
Pretty close call, could have gone either way.

Tired or not execution just not there tonight; 0 for 5 on the PP for instance. Maine took care of business made it look easy knocking UNH off the puck most of the night esp in the neutral zone. Oh well. Tomorrow's another day but we have to be much better. GO 'CATS!!I'm just here for the hockey...

Well, there’s the lesson in what happens when you’re overly dependent on the PP and a handful of top scorers and they all have off nights. It’s bound to happen and that’s why you need better depth scoring at 5x5...Live Free or Die!!
