  • NCAA Quarter Final Cornell vs Northeastern

Glad to see NU tie it up late but gotta say they have looked incredibly sloppy in their own end many times throughout this game.

    Cornell wins in OT.

Think the story of this game was NU's anemic PP...0-5 !!!

A quick game but rather disappointing in the skill department.

And Penn State had Dean Jackson! Unbelievable that he comes on board Cornell and they are in the Final Four.

Cornell got a break insofar as they faced a Northeastern team without Alina Muller. She was held off the scoresheet in her first collegiate game, and then just 3 more times the rest of the season.

Assessing coaches is somewhat challenging, as they are all working with different resources. I know little about Cornell, but imagine Dean is fortunate to have Bourbonnais and Zandee Hart, as well as Kristin O’Neill on his roster, 3 players who’ve represented the senior Canadian women’s team.

Kampersal has had two seasons at Penn State, but inherited a much weaker roster than Dean when he joined as the assistant coach, or the new Providence coach.

It will be interesting to see Cornell next week, and Penn State next year.
