Agreed. That's kind of like establishing a new conference and inviting teams based on recent (or short-term) success. I'll try not to mention any schools in Kalamazoo or anything, but there's a team I have in mind.

When is Ferris going to build a D1 arena and stop using the high school **** box they play in now?

Ferris plays well in that rink and they only drew 1619 tonight. When I bought my tickets for tomorrow night, the guy said it is a "premium" game and it was a couple bucks more. We will see if the attendance is higher.

For them to consider Tech to be a premium draw, but only get 1600 on Friday night, how big would you build the new arena? Seems to me it's a waste of money if they can't fill the 2400 seats they have now.

I'd say, until you consistently sell out at 2400, keep doing what you're doing and make visiting teams adjust to the playing conditions. It's a good home rink advantage IMHO.

If you can't fill a high school arena....you probably don't belong in D1.

When they get someone who knows how to market the program in a town slightly smaller than the combined population of Houghton and Hancock, and at a school twice the size of MTU.

That place should be jammed every night!. But I get what you're saying. BTw the LSSU game last night was very exciting. Both Lake State and Alaska played well.

Remember last year when BC won their league but didn't make it in because of a dismal out of conference record? I'm looking at you NMU!

Yea, Non-con kinda sucks this season

SCSU is a Top Tier team... Cornell should make the tourney... Notre Dame is Top as well.... The loss to Sparty is gonna sting....

To have NCAA hopes, we're gonna have to be immaculate with our WCHA schedule.... We simply can't lose more than 1 or maybe 2 games to anyone not named Mankato or BGSU...

I haven't run the numbers, but I think that's probably true of any year for anyone in our league seeking to make it that isn't the AQ.

50% NC and 75% in conference should do it as long as the league is decent overall...thats the formula for the WCHA.
