Looks like Princeton was down by 3 goals with under 5 minutes to play and has managed to tie it up with 45 seconds left? This is a crazy one.

Thanks to SLU upsetting Dartmouth in game two, we wait another day to learn Union's next opponent.

We will have to wait until tomorrow to know where we will be going next weekend. A Dartmouth win sends us to Cornell. A St. Lawrence win sends us to Clarkson.

Union gets Cornell next weekend - a very tough draw. Union lost to Cornell both times this season, and combined for one goal between the two efforts. I would have felt somewhat better if Union had drawn Clarkson - at least they beat them once this year.

The game in Ithaca was quite close: 2-1 plus an eng, and the Dutchmen outshot us by a lot. The game at Achilles, yeah, that was a rout.

We're hopeful because we're getting several walking wounded back after a much needed extra week break. But I think it will be a good series and likely come down to goaltending.

I wish it were not so, but IMO I believe that our season ends this weekend. Cornell does most of their scoring in the first period and then uses their physicality and suffocating defense to win. We get intimidated by Cornell's size and physicality. Cornell has added just enough speed and playmaking skill and depth to its size to be very lethal. If we can get it to a game 3 and keep it very close we may have a chance. That is a big if. I don't think we will see game 3. I have seen Qpac, Harvard, Cornell and Clarkson play at their best and they are all well deserving of the top 4 slots. I believe they will be the 4 teams that make it to Lake Placid. That has been the norm. The run like Princeton made last year is the exception. I will pray to the hockey Gods that we prevail. I just don't see it happening without their intervention. We have only defeated Cornell once in our last 10 meetings. We have to step up our own physicality if we hope to match theirs. If this team does have a higher gear, they have got to show it now.

Agreed. I'm glad that the disallowed goal didn't make the difference tonight. Cornell played a great game and the Dutchmen found a way to win nevertheless.
