Two below the radar teams. It will be the game nobody pays attention to, to their regret.

Nichols, 4-1 or worse, is my guess. Fitch is just taking up space in this tournament.

Nichols had a great run through their conference tournament. The offense came alive and in the net Brennan was back to the way he played prior to his mid-season injury. It will be interesting to see if they can keep it going. Don't know much about Fitchburg but understand they are strong in net.

Fitchburg is ranked 34th in the country with their 2.78 goals allowed per game...not that great compared to the final 12 teams...SNC, Adrian, Hobart, Marian and Point are all under 2.00.

              SNC @1.38.
40+ saves for the Fitchburg goalie tonight. I don't know enough about them to say whether the higher GAA is a product of a weaker defense or not, but the goalie kept them in the game tonight.

I did not watch this game, but they only had 19 SOG....well under their season average of 32...
they did average around 40 shots allowed this season.

Nichols was in the offensive zone most of the night but the Fitchburg goalie had a solid game and when he left rebounds the Fitchburg defense did a good job keeping Nichols from getting to them. Very physical game, refs let 'em play.....

Hm. I didn't look at the stats. I just watched the last minute and a half and the announcers said he had 40 saves. Must've misheard them.
