Believe it or not, RPI will enter Friday night's game ahead of their opponent in the league standings, as QU lost both ends of their ECAC season-opening weekend set against Cornell and Colgate.

I believe that Friday night will also mark our first opportunity to see RPI in their home white sweaters, after they wore red for the exhibition game and black for the game against Union.

Welp, at least we can't go 0-22. Really need some points, even if it's a split the hard way.

Princeton has some proven scorers coming back from last year's team. The big question about the Tigers was whether, with Colton Phinney no longer around, they could find a goaltender who could stop the occasional beach ball.

So far the Tigers have played three games, with Ryan Ferland playing goal in all three. He started out well with 38 saves on 40 shots in a 4-2 win over Holy Cross. He was perhaps even better in stopping all 36 shots in a 0-0 tie with Colgate. But he faltered in giving up 5 goals on 22 shots in a 5-4 loss to Cornell. So he's been a bit inconsistent, as might be expected with a first-year goalie.

RPI and Union can hope that Ferland plays against them the way he played against Cornell - while Princeton's scorers are as snakebit as they were against Colgate.
