That's what it sounded like on the radio. Coach new they needed to stop that, and the team did not respond.

And yet, they have 2 NCAA appearances, including a win.

Ruby was relatively highly rated, but was inconsistant. Rotolo was a decent, but not great goalie. Dracett came in as a top goalie in his league and started out well in conference play. He's slumping a bit now, and Short is making the most of his opportunity so far.

What a turn around from the night before. Providence has to be thinking, WTH?

Gotta think Short will be given a chance to run with the job when they come back from break. Awesome to see him get the shutout.

This team can be really good if it can get some consistent goaltending. They're right into the fire once conference play resumes. Series against Canisius, Mercyhurst, Air Force, and Niagara are going to test them and make those game in hand points tough to grab.

Better team won tonight with a ton of shot blocks.

Personally, I think that is a little unrealistic or you are going to be in for a lot of disappointment. RIT will be a contender more often than not, but the league is leaps and bounds above where it was when RIT started playing in conference, and in a one and done scenario in the playoffs - anything can happen. Just ask Robert Morris about that. As for Frozen Four trips - that's going to be tough to repeat. RIT is not Minnesota or BC - at least not yet.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "expect".

Perhaps you meant to say "This team can be really good if all facets can play well at the same time."

As has been noted, even by Providence fans, Friday's issue was not goaltending. On Saturday, while it was great to see Short get his first careen shutout, the dramatic difference in the game was not due solely to goaltending either. The skaters played very differently on Saturday.

I didn't know "expect" had multiple definitions.
Can't we all just get along?
Always remember... This is just a game we're talking about here. Let's not take it all too seriously.
