  • UNH Wildcats 2016-17 Vol II -- We Do Have a Hockey Season Here!?!

My first "Post New Thread". How exciting!

Feeling cautiously optimistic about the remainder of the season. The next three tilts are winnable although it is tough to sweep any team (ME) four straight. With few exceptions the remainder of the season will be challenging, character building and telling.

    NCAA Regional tix in hand!
I will not be out cheered in my own building.

Love, love your optimism here Sir! I too share a sense of hopefulness and while it's certainly not 'giddy optimism' and it's the Christmas season isn't that what we're supposed to be thinking? Anyway not hanging a banner but I believe the 'Cats will surprise here and there and I sure wouldn't be looking past 'em. You are right the next few games will indeed be telling. Thanks for being the thread master this season, btw...
    Here we go 'Cats!!

Nothing to do with optimism. Can't pass up 4 quality teams playing < 7 miles from my house. 'cats being there would be a huge bonus.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2016-17 Vol II -- We Do Have a Hockey Season Here!?!

Just thought that I would drag this post over here from the old thread to prep for tomorrow night's game in Hanover.

Some stats for upcoming UNH at Dartmouth game:

          Stat: UNH; Dartmouth
          Record: 8-6-2; 3-5-2
          PWR: 33rd; 27th
SOS: 46th; 8th (yowser, big diff there!)
          Goals: 57; 21
          Goals Against: 45; 30
          Team O: 3.56 gpg, 11th; 2.10; 57th (now there is Big Green's problem #1)
          Team D: 2.80 gapg, tied 25th; 3.00, tied 31st
          PenMin: 88/176, 11.00 mpg, 55th (SMT's!); 69/190, 17.27, 9th (BG's problem #2)
          PP: 23/102, 22.55 %, 10th; 4/70, 5.71, 60th (BG's problem #3)
          PK: 62/74, 83.8 %, tied 29th; 46/59, 78.0, 51st (BG's problem #4)
          SHG: 2; 0
          Ty Rone: 8-4-2, 0.921 SV%, 14th, 2.2761 GAA, 18th
          Buffalo (not NY): 3-5-2, 0.898 SV%, 2.9493 GAA, 44th
          TyK: 12+18=30, 2nd, 1.86 ppg
          Grasso: 11+9=20, 1.25, tied 16th, 1.25 ppg
          Cleland: 1+18=19, tied 19th, 1.19 ppg

          Huge difference for special teams.

No worries. Didn't want those with less rah-rah than us thinking I'd lost it.

Ty Rone's numbers starting to look pretty respectable!

Not bad, but remember that we are 46th in SOS, not to be confused with e.cat's SOG.

                        Did someone say SOG! Haha

Go Ty Rone beat the BG tonight! Wish I could be there in my old stomping grounds!

If Ty can pitch a SO tonight, he could join the elite 6 with 3 SO's; only 1 goalkeep has 4.

                              Nice!

                              Enjoy the UV!

Here's a trivia question for ya. When did UNH move from Hanover to Ben Thompson's farm in Durham?
