Union opened by gaining a split on the road against a ranked Michigan team. They followed that with a one-goal win over AIC and a tie against Sacred Heart before two solid wins over RIT and Niagara. Their record stands at 4-1-1.

Particularly impressive was senior Mike Vecchione, who scored two against RIT and four against Niagara. He leads the Dutchmen with eight total goals through the first six games.

Union will have the added incentive of not wanting the trend of the last two seasons (in which RPI swept all four league games) to continue. The Engineers will need to have their act together this coming weekend.

Hoping to break the trend... RPI is always a challenge, no matter what the previous games in the season say.

One thing is for sure when it comes to this matchup: You can throw the records out the window. Anyone can win on any day.

Does the league ever actually call penalties on Union's clutch and grab?
