It's the way that I usually start these threads.

      Sometimes others post, sometimes not.

I don't know a whole lot about RPI but it I'm going to predict a split, which I think would suit both teams decently enough. I will go with Maine winning 4-2 Friday and RPI winning 3-1 Saturday. It's exciting that Maine will be playing some home games before the middle of November this year.

I would agree with you, but it this point in the season I am more optimistic for RPI and hope for a sweep for RPI especially with the only comparison that I can use is that RPI did better than FF participant QU in their exhibition games against the same Canadian team, McGill.

Don't trust Exhibition hockey. With that said Maine can't play like they did versus SFX with too many penalty's. Toss up this weekend with a split a good call.

Most games over the weekend against Canadian schools had too many penalties including RPI's.

I'd also predict a split, although winners the other way around. 1-0-1 is achievable, a sweep would be surprisingly good. Certainly more optimistic than last year, where I thought we had a solid chance of starting out 0-5 (ended up 1-4).

Considering making this trip. Looks like there's plenty of stuff to do in Bangor, and maybe a couple options in Orono for post-game fun? Any tips from the locals? I'm into Brewpubs, beer bars, non-dive sports bars, hipster cocktail places, etc.

Try Woodmans in Orono. They have good food and make their own beer across the street from the restuarant.
