  • EC Wounded Warrior Game Feb 5th

In what has been a yearly tradition since 2010, the Elmira College men's ice hockey team will once again be joining the effort to support the Wounded Warrior Project, through the Hockey Helpers program, when it hosts Nazareth College at the Murray Athletic Center Ice Arena as part of Athletics Alumni Weekend on Saturday, February 6th.

"We are extremely excited to once again take part in this great event this season," Head Coach Aaron Saul '98 said. "The Wounded Warrior game has not only been something that our program has looked forward to, but has also been cherished by our local hockey community as well. It gives our team a chance to make our impact felt beyond the rink and give back to those who have sacrificed so much."

The Soaring Eagles will once again endeavor to make a difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed all for the freedoms we hold dear through its apparel fundraising effort. The team has army green t-shirts now available for purchase, while they will also be available for sale the day of the game on February 6th. Cost of the shirt is $15.

Elmira will also be donning special-edition white and camouflage jerseys when they take on the Golden Flyers. As in years past, every jersey will be auctioned off online, while any jersey not bid on prior to the game will be sold during or after the contest on February 6th. For more information, or if you would like to place a bid, contact Head Coach Aaron Saul at: asaul@elmira.edu.
