WTH, win a tourney game and you guys suddenly clam up? Good win.

That's just one game. We've been here plenty of times before. It requires two to make it further. We understand this more than anyone. Have to be focused on tonight.

Coach wasn't happy with our play last night, but we got a win.
I thought that we came out flat last night but played much better in the last two periods to get the win.
I personally think that his comments about last nights play were just to amke sure that the team comes out better tonight and plays a full sixty minutes.
Brown will be tough tonight. They are big and talented up front, but we are much faster, and we have to play fast tonight. JMO

Extremely straight and honest assessment from SA. We were out played badly early. We were out muscled all night. We were fortunate to not have had to come from behind in this one. I could not agree with him more. We have to come out and put this team away. If we do not, if we are not ready to play at 7PM with jump in our legs and with all the upper body strength needed, they will not just go away. I hate to sound like SA when i say this, but if we do not come out and play the right way, the RPI way, this is going to be a tough night. Most of all, we cannot allow situations to occur that let the officials decide our fate. No stupid or retaliatory penalties can be taken. If you have to cross check someone to save a possible goal, so be it . But if you are doing it just to express anger, then wait for the final horn and then explode.

Coach said it prior to game one and again after the game, we need to be ready to come out and play at 7 pm. This is game two... Brown will be ready. We need to set a tone and skate our way from the outset. As Coach said, if we follow our process then we will be in a position to win most of the time. Let's do it... LGR!

It really depends why the league is with BoxCast. There's a possibility they genuinely think it's good for exposure rather than something that brings in income. Maybe the ADs really like their sliver of that pie. If income is even in the cards, most of the money surely goes to BoxCast -- typically it's something like a minimum fee is paid to BoxCast for the streaming equipment and support, then any profits over a threshold are split. It could be simply the plug-and-play simplicity of the system. All BoxCast does is supply a little... box... that plugs into the school's provided camera. There's some support and recommendations for cameras and settings, but nothing is "produced" by BoxCast. This is really what makes it frustrating for groups like RPI TV and likely WCKN which aren't directly affiliated with a school's athletics department.

I don't speak for RPI TV (anymore), but the resources certainly aren't there for additional "productions", however there's quite a lot of know-how about how to stream for free, and RPI TV has a second, single-camera with graphics setup that could be duplicated and exported around the league with a lot of work by the RPI TV guys and some instruction to the home staff. Pack Network evolved out of Northeastern's video efforts and could be a model for RPI TV or loosely affiliated exterior business venture.

Ultimately, I think it's lack of resources (read "laziness") and lack of vision from the ECAC that lead to this issue.

From what I gathered watching the 90-second previews of the three other games, RPI was the only school that went the route of not providing the standard streamed video feed to BoxCast. Cornell and Dartmouth appeared to provide the same feed they do for the Ivy League Digital Network streaming, and Clarkson's BoxCast stream still had all the WCKN graphics. RPI's feed didn't even include a game clock or penalty clock.

tv situation shows what a joke league is, offer to debate hagwell and stewart still stands, will do on wyland and even let ken moderate, sure he will go after me like kelly goes after the Donald.

Please show those folks in Beantown what section 9 is all about. I won't be able to make the trip out but I will be there in spirit. OGC and our great team does it again.

A nice trait this year in our boys
is their grit, resilience, and poise.
Behind 3-0 against Brown
They didn't get down
Now their 4-goal response is one of our joys!

FDude: We had season tickets in a couple sections but spent a lot of time with seats in section 6. That side can be rather quiet but when you can get section 6 and section 9 excited together, well, you know that can be devine.
