No it's not. NESN's (and other mass media sources) rationale is actually very simple. It's all about money... that is all.

NESN is basically carrying the package that ASN bought
Plus doing hockey east tourney. See the thread on hockey
East. TV. If NESN was actually running the package
BU and BC would be on more.

joeb needs to get off his lazy *** and find a carrier that lives in the 21st century so mookie can watch games on his phone.

You have to wonder whether all these people who are "cutting the cord" are starting to have an effect on cost of programming.

Seems like there are fewer games on all networks, not just nesn. Regardless, very disappointing local coverage.

well it's clearly impacting the networks, espn laid of 4% of workforce yesterday

seriously not a good couple of years for bertanga:
                  ND - Terrible
                  UConn - no need
                  TV - terrible

The NBC Sports was a good idea, sucks that it has fallen off

@OverTheBoards: 99 F Logan Hutsko (NTDP) commits to BC. Great add, 5'9 skilled playmaker w/ elite vision. Developed a lot at Shattuck, 5 pts at NTDP so far.

@OverTheBoards: Hutsko recently decommitted from Penn State, the Eagles win out, continue to surge on the recruiting trail this fall.

"No need" necessitated, though, because of the ND add, so really you can just blame Notre Dame twice.

The new schedule sucks too(both regular season and playoffs). I can't believe BC isn't coming to the Alfond this year.

QU would have been a good add.

                              TV schedule is definitely mediocre.

I enjoy UConn in the league, I really enjoy the extra OOC games. I know I'm in the minority but I even like the long weekend in Chicago every other year for the ND trip, and as long as when they leave HE the league adds QU I don't think the league will have taken a hit during the transition period caused by B1G.

While I don't enjoy UConn, I do enjoy the extra OOC games.

Are there any reporters who cover Hockey East in general? Would love for somebody to be able to ask Bertagna about the TV situation.
