Wow, your first regular season home game isn't until November 15th? That's crazy. No wonder so many showed up.

Yeah but after that they only have three games away from Alfond the rest of the first semester, and one of them is in Portland vs the Mildkitties.

Maine is awful. Can't score. Slow. I'm guessing 5 wins this season.

I think 5 is low but I wouldn't bet the farm on a lot more wins.

So what are the chances Maine can beat UMass? if Rob is ready I'd say its good. I'll bet they play better away from Alfond

Duh, as has been stated time and time again. Walsh was unique. Without him Maine really doesn't have much to offer the elite players in the hockey world today. Location, Coach, Facilities, Academics. They are falling further behind every day.

This isn't Whitehead's fault. Or Red's fault. Maine is what it is at this point.

Red got the Standbrook fund started, Tim kick Grant to the curb. Fund raising is a tough job but Red is out there trying. he's shaking hands and kissing babies. Tim stayed within the guys he knew and that isn't/wasn't cutting it. Don't tell me some of the blame doesn't lie squarely on Tims shoulders.

Whitehead was indeed a part in the tear-down of the Maine Hockey Program...it started slowly...but you could see the foundation of the Program was in big trouble as long as Whitehead stayed around, and with that he stayed 6 years too long...and the rest is History and not for the better.

Team seems to lose in overtime an awful lot over the last two years for a club I thought was going to be in superior condition to its opponents. Disappointing.
