U.S. beat Austria in Austria 4-1 today in an exhibition. Mike Reilly scored the opening goal and was named player of the game. Auston Matthews (USNTDP) scored the GWG after helping the U-18s win their World Championship in Switzerland, but he will not be on the final roster. Lyon played in the 3rd period and did not give up a goal. A skater and a goalie are left to be added to the roster.
The U.S. is in group B. Full schedule is here. http://mensworlds.usahockey.com/page...95680-schedule Games will be streamed live, and most will air live, on NBCSN. First game is Friday at 10:15 AM vs. Finland.
Oh, this tournament also determines the seeding for the 2018 Olympics. http://www.usahockey.com/news_articl...rrer_id=752796 Other nations have not brought such a young, experimental lineup. Should be a good experience for the NCAA guys anyway.
