    Honoring NCAA Division III:

    Formatted in-line with the National Hockey League Post Season Awards, I thought it would be nice to show recognition in all area's of the game


    NCAA Champion: Trinity College Bantams

    Eastern Champion: Trinity College Bantams

    Western Champion: University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointers

    Commissioners’ Trophy: Trinity College Bantams (21-2-1)
    Awarded to the school finishing the regular season with the best overall record

    Keith Aucoin Memorial Award: Michael Hawkrigg (Trinity College Bantams)
    Awarded to the leagues most valuable player

    Collegiate Sportsmanship Award: Tyler Brickler (Geneseo State Knights)
    Awarded to the player who exhibited outstanding sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability

    Guy Hebert Award: Drew Fielding (St. Thomas Tommies)
    Awarded to the leagues top goaltender

    Kurtis McLean Award: Kyle Brothers (Adrian College Bulldogs)
    Awarded to the league’s most outstanding offensive rookie player

    Chris Panek Award: Dalton Carter (Utica College Pioneers)
    Awarded to the leagues most outstanding defensive rookie player

    Joe Ferras Award: Kyle Brothers (Adrian College Bulldogs)
    Awarded to the player who leads the league in total points at the end of the season

    Jerry Galway Award: Bobby Gertsakis (Oswego State Lakers)
    Awarded to the defenseman who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-around ability in the position.

    Ian Smith Award: Kevin Gibson (University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point Pointers)
    Awarded to the defenseman with the most total points at the end of the season.

    Bill Beaney Award: Nathaniel Heilbron (Trinity College Bantams)
    Awarded to the most valuable player for his team in the playoffs

    Don Roberts Award: Adam Krug (Adrian College Bulldogs)
    Awarded to the coach adjudged to have contributed the most to his team’s success

    Eric Selleck Award: Mike Montagna (Oswego State Lakers)
    Awarded to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspect of the game

    Humanitarian Award: Jake Heisinger (Curry College Colonels)
    Awarded to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community

    Brian Horan Award: Kyle Brothers (Adrian College Bulldogs) & Nick Zappia (Cortland State Red Dragons)
    Awarded to the leagues top goal scorer

    Alex Hicks Award: Stephan Buco (Massachusetts-Boston Beacons)
    Awarded to the leagues top playmaker

    Steve Baker Saving Grace Award: Alex Larson (Nichols College Bisons)
    Awarded to the goaltender who has played a minimum of 33% of the minutes and has the highest Save Percentage

    Kelly Leroux Award: Luke Veitch (Johnson & Wales University)
    Awarded to the player with the most penalty minutes at seasons end.

    Francois Bourbeau Award: Ty Reichenbach (Norwich Cadets)
    Awarded to the goaltender who has played a minimum of 33% of the minutes and has the lowest GAA

    Comeback Player of the Year: Sean Rudy (Hobart Statesmen)
    Awarded to the player who demonstrates perseverance in the game of hockey

        Holy Eastern bias in the names of these awards, Batman! Also, how does Bill Beaney for Most Valuable Player in Playoffs make any sense?

                    No disrespect to Adam Krug, but watching Trinity play, those players won because of how well they were coached, they executed their plan perfectly. In my Opinion I think Trinity's coach contributed the most to his teams success in winning their National championship. Everyone on the team blocked shots in the defensive zone, no one was selfish in the offensive zone either.
