I haven't been able to watch enough games to make an informed decision this year. I'd only be going off stats and UW-Superior players...and to a lesser extent other WIAC teams. Obviously no one from Gustavus would ever make it

Updated thoughts on how things look at the East. Didn't really see much worth changing except I subbed out Taylor Cross from Norwich for Hannah Bielawski from Middlebury on 2nd team D.

                  East Region:

                  1st Team:

                  G. Bridget Smith, Oswego

I really can't see the entire first team coming from the ECAC West... but then, I pay almost no attention to individuals when I watch, so I'm not sure who's worthy...

                        Re: D3 All-Americans Watch

Does anyone know the criteria for choosing All-American? Is there some formula applied, or are the conference Players of the Year and those with the highest points chosen? Is there a committee that makes these decisions, and if so, who sits on it?

Having just admitted I don't know the true criteria, I will take a stab at the West:

                        1st Team:
                        F Chloe Kinsel (River Falls)
                        F Alice Crandall (River Falls)
                        F Nina Waidacher (St. Scholastica)
                        D Paige Johnson (River Falls)
                        D Megan Crandall (St. Norbert)
                        G Lindsey Hibbard (Gustavus)

                        2nd Team:
                        F Kathryn Larson (Bethel)
                        F Dani Sibley (River Falls)
                        F Kristen Lewicki (Adrian)
                        D Megan Juricko (St. Thomas)
                        D Betsy Anderson (Stevens Point)
                        G Janna Bielke-Skoug (Stevens Point)

                        Others to be considered:

                        F Tara Baago (St. Thomas)
F Kelsey Kusch (Adrian) - chose Lewicki over Kusch because PIM and +/- #s slightly better
D Sara Bier (Marian) - chose Anderson over Bier because PIM and +/- #s better
D Megan Menotti (Stevens Point) - chose Anderson over Menotti because Menotti had 66 PIM [2nd highest in nation] and a minus +/-
G Jade Walsh (Adrian) - slightly better stats that Bielke-Skoug, but chose Bielke-Skoug as she was WIAC Player of the Year

The MIAC POY will be on one of the West teams. Madison Gendreau - only 26 points but well deserving. 86 points in 105 career games.

Don't they also have to be on an all conference team, or did that change?
