    Re: Minnesota hosts Wisconsin: 1/16 & 1/17

My kid has games both nights.

Shame I'll have to miss the massacre... er... series.

Rumpel always plays well against us, I can see a couple shutouts this weekend.

I will be up north with my old college buds. So all will be fine, especially after plenty of drinking...

Two worst teams in the Big 10 in a head on collision and you think it'll be a massacre? I expect two 6-6 contests. I'd put 0-0 but the defense and goaltending for both squads is so bad right now I think a lot of goals will be scored.

Sadly the way they've been playing lately that's exactly what they look like.

Seeing pessimism from Minnesota fans gives me hope. I don't like that, because it will make the losses more painful.

I think ya'll need a reality check if you honestly think MN looks like the 5th or 6th team in the conference. I think it is highly unlikely that both PSU and OSU finish ahead of them as well. Yeah, the way they are playing is unacceptable given their roster, but they don't look that bad as to finish behind 3 teams in this sub-par conference. Just saying.

Like I said, I completely understand (and share!) the disgust and disappointment with how they have performed, but let's not get melodramatic about it.

They're sandbagging. Sure, they're disappointed (disgusted even) with how their team is playing, but not a single one of them believes that they will drop even a point to us.

Now I wouldn't go that far. The sandbagging is certainly strong with some, and some others () are a bit too sensitive due to outcomes of recent games to tolerate it.

But we all know Wisconsin could get lucky and Rumpel could steal a game this weekend.

Oh yeah, I also forgot -
I think we should start a pool as to who can predict how long it takes Eaves to have his first hissy fit. I'm going with sometime around the 8 minute mark of the first.

pffft. You guys aren't fooling me. There's not even a 'Fire Lucia' thread. How bad can it really be over there?

If any of you have pet cats or dogs, I strongly suggest hiding them at an undisclosed location, in case MN loses either game. Y'all have been warned.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Oh, it's not for that. That's your business over there. I have a habit of teaching pets in burlap sacks how to swim after Gophers losses.

Minnesota has looked bad lately but I think they turn it around against Bucky. I just don't think the BADgers have the scoring to compete. I see a 3-1 and a 4-1 win for the Gophs. Jr is coaching a squirt team out of town so I will be escorting the Mrs to both games this weekend. Hope I can remember what time each game is at with this schedule.
