Boy I haven't seen anything official yet about Doremus, in the Denver paper....but, obviously I saw it online. I guess this is lull time for DU media coverage. You mention Scott Mayfield, aka the wrecking ball (as I remember him). That must of been a fun game. I wonder how Scotty is doing these days? Haven't kept tabs on him. He was a Pit Bull here. I bet his fighting skills have skyrocketed. He an Donovan are pegged for the Brooklyn Islanders, right?
Donovan for sure, I think? Mayfield, might be a career minor-leaguer. Good to see Loney have a great debut as well, he's got the pedigree.
Good to the lacrosse team, they are rolling, Baptiste continues on an amazing clip on the faceoffs, and Berg is on fie-ah. Team seems to be peaking at a good time, even though last couple of opponents haven't exactly been top flight.
Man, what can you say about the BU goalie, 2 huge gaffes in the Frozen Four. I feel bad for the guy.
And I also feel bad that we lost to the eventual NCAA champion. I'm not quite over LaLeggia's brain freeze yet...great player, great Pioneer, maybe our best defenseman since Matt Carle. But still bummed that he took that penalty and cost the team. I heard the whole thing about how he was just playing Pioneer hockey, but part of me wonders whether the scouts in attendance motivated him to make a physical play like that. I know...sacrilege to think that, but I can't help it. I guess there's always next year, but I thought we had the players for a good run this year. But Providence is the only happy team now. Congrats to them.
What a great season of DU Hockey. For giggles, I just sat down and figured out my beer tab all year, attending every game. That comes to $788 dollars... and that's not including my Wife's; or any food (sweetie loves those carmel roasted Pecans) ..... ****well over $1000 went into our stomachs, within the confines of Magness Arena
I want to be a fan of the best team in college hockey - so that explains why I am a DENVER fan!

Impressive stats! I spent a good amount at the beer stand that has the Mama's Yella Pils in cans.

I had forgotten that Keith Seabrook even played for DU. Can't remember if he left after one season, or mid-way through his first season??
Anyone know how Joe and Drew are doing for Calgary? Are they getting a decent amount of playing time, has Joe finally found a team to settle down with? When he was with Boston, I was wondering whether he would ever be a long time NHL'er. In any case, glad to see him as participating in the playoffs.
No mention of the Coors Field thing for next season? DU will be in Michigan the weekend the Avs play outside. I guess plans could still be announced/changed for DU to be involved. The weekend before, is CC. Interesting
