While I don't really condone the fan action they were reacting to the crowd taunting that Potsdam did. For a team that won it's first against Oswego in 6 years they sure acted like a bunch of hot shots. Teams like Plattsburgh, Elmira, Geneseo, and Hobart, ones that actually do win more than once every 6 years, come in and do their business, celebrate a bit if they win and move on down the road.

For a team that won it's first against Oswego in 6 years they sure acted like a bunch of hot shots. Teams like Plattsburgh, Elmira, Geneseo, and Hobart, ones that actually do win more than once every 6 years, come in and do their business, celebrate a bit if they win and move on down the road.

Okay. I've seen Oswego goalscorers taunting the student section in Plattsburgh, so don't act like Potsdam doing that puts them so far beneath your Lakers. I know I've seen Plattsburgh do it, too. I don't like it, but you can't really call other teams out for doing it when your own team does it on occasion, too.

In women's hockey, Plattsburgh and Elmira are fairly used to taking wins off of each other with some frequency, but that didn't stop some of this from Elmira this year. At one point, their goalie got called for a trip (and it was a pretty bad one clearly after play had been blown dead). The Plattsburgh students started chanting "DIR-TY GOAL-IE!", to which she responded by removing her helmet, blowing them a kiss, and giving them the Bras D'Honneur/Italian Salute (a gesture that is commonly interpreted as meaning "Up Yours").
