The fan and alumnus in me won't allow me to quit. Logically, it's tough to ask most of the guys on this team to fill the shoes of Ghost, Bodie, Carr, Hatch, etc this season. It's looking more and more like a rebuilding year unfortunately. The future does look bright though.

Agreed on that front, next year's freshman class looks like it will be the best since the class of '14. However, we're far too soft on the backline this year to expect any sort of turnaround before the end of the season. Brassard is the most reliable guy in our own zone at this point and he's a true freshman. Hopefully we'll find something for the Mayor's Cup, but things are looking about as bleak as they have in a long time at this point in the season.

IMO we should have played Alex ....
Lets kick *** next week ... payback time
The ECAC has a losing non-conference record against every other league except the AHA
The ECAC is in 4th place in league standings ... but we still may be able to catch BIG for 5th place.
If the season ended today, the ECAC would land two teams in the NCAAs, Yale and Harvard, assuming one won the tournament
Harvard lost one game and dropped 5 places in the pairwise. All things being equal, the Ivy's pairwise are going to be extremely sensitive to loses because of the fewer non-conference games.
The very worst thing a league can do is to have its teams treat non-conference games as non-consequential and then knock each other off. It is a recipe for minimizing NCAA participation and we are doing it in spades again this year.
No one is referring to us any more as "Defending National Champs" ..... we gave up 10 goals over the weekend so we are not defending much of anything anymore
Novak and Wilkins were a +2 - Throwback to last year.
IMO We are still a very dangerous road team .... we will see if that continues
At this point the pressure should be off and the expectations down. Time to rebuild for next year, and the year after.
IMO It would be nice to play Dillon for a game .... he is a senior and certainly deserves it as much as anyone

and this ^
The year is not over. ECAC is good, so are we. A strong league makes strong teams and vice versa.
We are still a bit immature right now but I won't give up until the hockey year is over !
Let's go Union !
ECAC Regular season champion : 2010-11, 2011-12, 2013-14, 2016-17
ECAC Tournament champion : 2012, 2013, 2014
NCAA champion : 2014
Neil Doef has regained feeling in one leg and in several toes in the other leg, the Record News reported.
“I don’t care if he ever plays hockey again, I just hope he is able to walk,” Doef’s grandmother, Delores Beaupre told the Record News.
Maybe this year, but both teams aren't exactly a model of consistency. RPI went south after an excellent November, then sweeps Colgate and Cornell, while Union has been a roller coaster all year long.
Because it's the ECAC, it would make sense that Union wins tomorrow...simply because that doesn't make sense.
