            BUT...
Luke Salazar has signed with Asploven in Sweden--not the same league* as Rakhshani is in.
Chris Knowlton is back in the USA, expected to play in the ECHL, team to be announced.

Does the trade of James Neal from Pittsburgh tonight to Preds open up a spot for Beau in Pens top 6 forwards??????

                Neal--RW--shoots R
                Beau--RW--shoots R.
Beau filled in for an injured Neal.
Looks good to me. Hope the new coach agrees

                The bad news

But then Beau too was injured(lower body) and out for a month.
Back for 2 weeks then suffered wrist/hand injury which required surgery and out FOR ALMOST 4 MONTHS!
                Missed 61 regular season games.
Did skate in 12 playoff games.

And then had more wrist surgery in May.
Looking at 4 months rehab. At least it's the off-season.
Hope the docs made his wrist bionic!

Interesting that the Avalanche did not pick up any NCAA-bound kids in the draft. CC's incoming freshman goalie got picked up by Detroit.
I want to be a fan of the best team in college hockey - so that explains why I am a DENVER fan!

Stastny goes to Saint Louis. At seven million a year he is grossly overpriced. The Avs were wise not to chase him at that price. And now that Jarome Iginla has signed with the Avs he's an upgrade from Stastny, plain and simple. Good luck to Stastny with the Blues.

Have to think those game tying and winning goals against the Wild raised his asking price. Before this year a salary cut was anticipated by fans (almost demanded) and the local scribes. If the Avs were expecting a home town discount, they forgot St. Louis was his hometown before Denver.

Stats is getting married July 12. New bride, new team, new home--guess it was time for change.
                        Congratulations and Good Luck!

Jason Zucker got a qualifying offer from the Wild--about $850,000--not bad.
But Vanek just signed with the Wild and he is a left wing. As is Parise. And Zucker, too.

If you believe JZ us a top 6 forward, it is not going to happen in Minny, not at LW.

Stastny isn't worth anywhere near seven million dollars per season. He was overpaid this year at six million with the Avs.
