So why would any sane person put up $180 to get $100 back or do you get $100 plus original bet? And if the former is the case, seems like favoring DU by 1.5 goals is not nearly enough.

Obviously, I'm not a big bettor at the sports book.
        GO DU !!!

Money line: if you bet UNC, you put up $100 to
win $140. If you bet DU, one must bet $180 to win $100.

I read the same thing. Might only be for the final 4 though.

You analysis is correct. If one picks DU -1.5 goals, I think you must bet $120 to win $100. That means you collect $220 for a net $100 win.

Correct, you collect $280 if DU WINS.

Bet $50 on UNC +1.5 goals. If DU wins by 2 or more goals, you have a great Pio win, but lose $50. If UNC wins you win $50 to drown your sorrow. Now the kicker, if DU wins by 1 goal, you have a great Pio win and you win your bet. I'm sure casinos will have game on TV.

Thanks, Dunker. Some good betting strategy! I will have to revisit your post at the sports book!

I am happy to hear about Joe Clark - an old WPHL guy from Texas, which is where I came from. I can't say I remember him coaching, because I was all about Fort Worth. That was the pre-CHL days; Not too far fetched from Slapshot the movie. Guys from up north, getting paychecks to play old time hockey in 1/2 empty rodeo arenas, when it's 90 degrees or higher outside... to fans who were honestly Dallas Cowboys diehards and many of whom didn't know squat about ice hockey. This was before the North Stars moved. Fighting, Mascots, group sales and corporate sponsorships were their lifeblood.
I want to be a fan of the best team in college hockey - so that explains why I am a DENVER fan!

                                Speaking of Lacrosse...

Jeremy Noble and Wes Berg and 4 DU alums, Cam Flint, Mark Matthews, Dillon Roy, and Geoff Snider
were named to team Canada for the International Championships this summer. Matt Brown is Offensive coordinator for the team.

BTW 25% of Team Canada went to DU.
