Jeff Jacobs of the Hartford Courant just tweeted that an announcement on UConn's on-campus barn is imminent. At least that is the surmise as his source would only say (or permit him to say) an on-campus athletic facility and that the announcement would be major.

I first reported this last night. I've been told it is the case, despite a rebuke from a school spokesman. Jeff Jacobs supposedly received confirmation of this from two school sources. I believe it to be the truth and am sticking by my guns on this one.

Dick I reached out to a friend of mine who works for one of the public safety agencies on campus yesterday after seeing the tweets. I asked him if he knew where the proposed location of the new barn will be..his response was where the Field House is presently located.
